Frequently Asked Questions - donors

You may drop off your items at Saluté Family Medicine (#304, 1010 - 1 Avenue NE) between 9am and 5pm from Monday through Thursday. You can also make arrangements to drop the items at the Head Elf's home by emailing bridgelandelves@gmail.com.

If you donate money directly to Onward Homes (link on home page) you are able to receive a tax receipt. Other donations are unfortunately not eligible.

The Elves are able to accept donations via e-transfer or you can arrange a credit card donation by contacting us directly. Please remember that only donations made through the Onward Homes site are eligible for a tax receipt. 

Your donation is used to purchase items for Holiday Hampers and Stockings for Seniors. Any surplus is put aside for extra events such as Mothers' Day gifts, Hug of the Month hampers throughout the year or  holiday parties for residents at Bishop's Manor. 

Bridgeland Elves  work with Onward Homes, local Social Workers and other professionals (doctors, nurses, teachers) to get recommendations on who could use some extra Bridgeland Love. We are unable to accept self referrals.

The number of hampers we make depends on how many donations we receive from local businesses and neighbours and thus varies from year to year. In 2024 we made 105 hampers and 30 Stockings for Seniors. We know the need is great and we do our best to provide as much support as possible.

Please fill out the Wishlist form on our Nominations and Requests page and email it back to us as early as possible (preferably by early November.) We will do our best to meet as many of those requests as possible.
